Hands-On Workshops

Our interactive workshops are designed to spark curiosity and create unforgettable learning experiences. We guide students on a journey from inspiration to creation, helping them see their place in the universe.

Our workshops include:

  • An Inspiring Kick-off Lesson: We start with a fun, awe-filled introduction to a cosmic topic, designed to ignite questions and wonder.
  • A Creative, Hands-On Activity: This is where learning comes to life! Students get to build, experiment, and discover through projects like building model rockets, creating constellation viewers, or coding a mini-mars rover.
  • Tailored for Every Learner: Every activity is adapted for different age groups and learning styles, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged.
  • A Moment of Cosmic Reflection: We end by connecting the activity back to the bigger picture, fostering a sense of belonging and wonder about our shared place in the universe.

Students don’t just learn facts. They gain new skills, build confidence, and discover the joy of exploration.

Community Stargazing Nights

Family Stargazing Nights bring students, families, and communities together under the night sky. Celestial Reach provides telescopes, star maps, and guided activities, making it easy for schools and libraries to host memorable outdoor events. We also collaborate with local astronomy groups to co-host larger stargazing nights, ensuring multiple telescopes, volunteers, and perspectives for families to connect through the awe of the universe.

Highlights:

  • Guided telescope viewing of the Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae, and seasonal constellations.

  • Constellation tours that help families learn to navigate the night sky with stories and science.

  • “First Saturn moments”: the unforgettable joy of seeing Saturn’s rings or Jupiter’s moons for the first time.

  • Sky-silence mindfulness activity, inviting families to pause, breathe, and appreciate the beauty above.

  • Multiple telescopes and volunteers at larger events, offering diverse views and expertise.

  • Accessible for all ages, with kid-friendly explanations and opportunities for older students to engage deeply.

  • Perfect for schools, libraries, community centers, and neighborhood events, creating lasting memories and shared wonder.

Sample Activities

Storytime Under the Stars: Read children’s astronomy books aloud before telescope viewing.

Space Exploration Projects

These projects give students the chance to think like astronauts, engineers, and mission planners. These hands-on challenges spark imagination while building STEM skills, encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. Each project invites students to dream big and explore what it would take for humanity to thrive beyond Earth.

Highlights:

  • Mission-based challenges that guide students through designing habitats, planning rover routes, and creating survival strategies on other worlds.
  • Creative engineering builds, such as constructing model landers, prototyping rockets, or designing exoplanet colonies.
  • Collaborative team simulations, where students take on roles like navigator, engineer, or biologist to solve space-based problems.
  • Real-world connections to NASA missions, engineering principles, and planetary science.
  • Adaptable difficulty levels so younger learners can imagine boldly while older students engage in deeper planning and analysis.

Sample Missions
